Your comic collection,
finally organized.

ComicApp is a self-hosted library manager and reader for comics. Point it at your archives — it scans, identifies, organizes, and serves them through a fast web reader.

Early development. Self-hosted, AGPL-3.0.

What it does

Scans and identifies

Reads your CBZ/CBR archives and matches them against comic metadata providers — series, issues, creators, characters, story arcs.

Organizes on your terms

Rule-based renaming and filing, with a dry-run plan before anything moves. Nothing is touched without your say-so.

Reads beautifully

A fast web reader with position sync, plus page tools: panel detection, OCR text extraction, and character detection.

Multi-user

One admin runs the server; everyone gets their own reading state, lists, and permissions.

Your data stays yours

Provider metadata is a separate layer that never overwrites your edits. Self-hosted means nothing leaves your machine.

Sidekick

An optional desktop companion that runs GPU work on your own hardware and gives the web app local-machine powers.
